Post_57: Welcome to Donostia- San Sebastián!

j

First I'd like to say hello to Loek and her sister Valerie Masthoff. Of course, I do not forget about Lena and her brother.

It's been a long time since I wrote my last letter in english as I said before. However, I'll try my best so you all can understand today's post. In addition, I encourage you to send me my mistakes on Facebook.

When Yolanda called me I was  very excited about my new minijob. I was going to show others how taking surveys on the street can be very entertaining at the same time I was going to prove myself.

We took an instruction reunion and they gave us a tablet. That was going to be my working tool during four days.

I got really impressed when I started working due to people's different reactions. Contrary to my thoughts, tourists were much more likable than local people. The most stunning thing was the excuses they showed but I quickly understood that they weren't getting angry with me, they were getting angry with just the fact of taking an anonimous survey. That explanation made me stronger and that is the main reason I found not to get sad.

I would like to tell you that it can seem you a very easy to carry out job but it's not if you're a shy person. And it wasn't my case.

After two days, making the same seven questions I noticed that I was able to explain myself in other language without any problem. I felt I was doing a good job even if I spent with each person more time than the required. It was more important for me that tourists had a good opinion about San Sebastian. So, once I had finished each survey I gave tourists the chance to ask me anything they would like to know about the city. And that's when I met Loek and her sister Valerie Masthoff.

They were both brothers. They came from Netherlands and I remember them perfectly because of their height. We had a nice moment and they congratulated me because of my good english. I told them that it was very uncomon meeting two brothers and sisters together on vacation. When I finished answering their questions I told them if they would mind giving me their Facebook address. This is why I'm writting in english today. I would like to do something different, be someone different for them and becoming a nice remembrance. I hope they now could tell their friends: - Hey, guys we should visit San Sebastian again, we enjoyed it a lot!

My girlfriend Miriam gave me a surprise. She was standing there behind Luck and Valeria and I didn't noticed her until I had finished talking. She brought me the dinner for that day. Thank you baby!!

But I had to continue. The day after I helped a french group of friends by booking them a camping.

The fireworks were having place at 10:45 p.m. during the whole week and some minutes before I first met Lena and his brother. They were also brothers and sisters but they also came with their friends. They were visiting Zarauz and surfed there. I've always been very interested in german's history so, I told them if I could make them some questions about it. I first thought "Borja they probably won't be on the mood to talk about it" but they gave me their own pint of view about how the rest of the society see germans.

The conversation was getting very interesting but suddenly the fireworks started. I let them having fun because I also had to keep on working.

Summing up, I would like to express my happiness and thank Gorka and Ane, my friends and mates. We grew on together by having this opportunity and we spent very funny moments we shared between us.

One love!
